We believe that everyone can do their part to curb climate change.
From large corporations to individuals,
we can all make a difference.
The quickest and easiest way to go green today is by purchasing Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs).
What are RECs? A Renewable Energy Certificate (or REC for short) is created each time 1,000 kWh of energy is produced by a renewable resource like wind, solar, or hydro and pushed to the grid. Want to learn more about RECs? Check out this helpful video from the Center for Resource Solutions (CRS).
The average US household uses a little under 1,000 kWh per month or 12,000 kWh per year.
By purchasing 12 RECs, you can effectively green up a homes’ electricity for the year!
PLANT CHANGE WITH US
FOR EVERY REC PURCHASED FOR INDIVIDUAL USE, WE PLANT ONE TREE THROUGH OUR AMAZING PARTNER, TREES FOR THE FUTURE. TO DATE, WE’VE HELPED PLANT 4,000 TREES.
Trees For The Future‘s mission is to end hunger and poverty by training farmers to regenerate their land.
How? It starts with trees. Through their 4-year training program, called the Forest Garden Approach, farmers plant thousands of trees that protect and bring nutrients back to the soil. This helps farmers grow a variety of fruits and vegetables. Forest Garden farmers gain increases in income and access to food, even in the first year, all while improving the environment.

Viridi believes in a market-based approach to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. We aspire to empower a movement of individuals, businesses, and communities to make a positive impact on air quality, renewable energy development, and climate change.
